Just when it seems like people will be waiting for more exciting news about the 25th James Bond film for the rest of their lives, monsoon season arrives, and people are completely soaked. From the minute that they learned the film's title, No Time To Die, people have been spoiled with information about the most anticipated film of the year.

The Latest James Bond Movie’s Release Date

After several delays due to the pandemic, No Time To Die is becoming increasingly likely to be released in the UK on September 30, 2021. Indoor theaters in England might open as early as 17 May, according to the government's preliminary plans for bringing the country out of lockdown – which has been bolstered by a so-far successful distribution of the vaccine — putting Bond on track for a September debut (provided there are no massive hiccups). Is this really going on? All we can do is hope.

Grammy-Winning Theme Song

To correspond with the film's initial release date, Billie Eilish released the official James Bond theme for No Time To Die in February 2020. She collaborated with the film's composer, Hans Zimmer, to make the newest addition to the revered canon of film openings, making her the youngest musician to ever record one. The single "No Time To Die," which is dark and brooding, has Eilish's haunting vocals over music that has the traditional James Bond-theme bravado of strings and horns.

While the film has yet to be released, the music has already received numerous accolades. Eilish won the Grammy Award for Best Song Written For Visual Media in March for a song she co-wrote with her brother, Finneas O'Connell. It's the first time an unreleased film has won the award (No Time to Die was previously ineligible, but the criteria were shifted due to the pandemic), and it's the fourth time a James Bond film has won a Grammy for its music, with previous winners including Adele for "Skyfall" and Sir Paul McCartney for "Live And Let Die."

Unfortunately, James Bond: No Time To Die's release date has been pushed back from 2 April 2020 to 30 September 2021, after fan requests to postpone the film's release due to the coronavirus outbreak. We know, that's an extra 18 months to wait, but you can still anticipate plenty of flash and glam when the film finally arrives, including, if we're lucky, Billie Eilish, Dame Judi Dench, and Phoebe Waller-Bridge all in the same place at the same time. What an awesome time for James Bond fans to be alive.
