How to Easily Clean Windows and Prevent Streaks

Many household chores await every homeowner, and cleaning the windows is one of the more tiresome ones. All that you need is the right cleaning products and tools and a few tricks and the job will be done in no time.

Forgetting to clean the windows or postponing that for the future time and again is something many people do, but the more time that passes, the more dust and grime there is to be cleaned. On top of that, the windows start to look rather grim and can even prevent sunlight from entering rooms. So what's the best and fastest way to go about cleaning windows effectively? First, the dust from the window frame has to be removed with a vacuum, duster, or cloth. The same goes for the blinds and shades. People who have curtains can also take this opportunity to remove and wash them. Next, it's time to clean the window screens if there are any. This can be achieved easily by removing them and vacuuming or brushing them. For a deeper clean, they have to be washed with a warm water-soap mix and then rinsed properly before being left to dry.

The windows should be sprayed with a generous amount of effective glass cleaner. There are many products available on the market that are quite affordable. When the windows are sprayed well, they should be wiped from top to bottom with a microfiber cloth or a lint-free paper towel. If streaks appear, they should be wiped again until the glass is clear.
